Well I finished the Limoncello this weekend and the results are quite satisfying!
I made the simple syrup:
Removed the lemon peel:
Mixed the two:
Enjoyed a sip on the patio before it went in the freezer:
This homemade brew is not overly sweet (just perfect I would say), the tartness of the lemons isn’t overpowering but definitely takes control, and I am quite happy that I used really good vodka. I look forward to trying it next weekend after a week in the freezer, with my Dad to celebrate both his birthday and Father’s Day!
